Will searchable text, links, forms, or signatures remain?
No. Pages become images, so searchable text, links, forms, signatures, metadata, and other interactive PDF features are not kept.
Which compression level should I choose?
Balanced is the best starting point. High quality keeps finer detail, while Smallest applies the strongest reduction for screen viewing and sharing.
Can I compress a password-protected PDF?
Yes. Enter the password when asked. The password is used only to open the file on your device, and the compressed PDF will not remain password protected.
What if the compressed PDF is larger?
No download is offered when the new PDF is not smaller than the original. You can try a stronger level or keep the original file.
